I bought this product for two reasons compared to similar products on the market: 1. It saved me about $100. 00 in purchase price 2. The drawers are deeper, and much more useful than those in the competitive products, and indeed, the entire unit has greater capacity.
Upon receiving the product, I noticed that the wood is very soft new white pine, and the hardware supplied with it was short in count,; i. e. , if there were supposed to be 40 screws there were only 39, etc. Also, the assembly instructions are completely useless. After wrestling with the assembly of this unit for about an hour, I threw the instructions in the waste basket; from that point on, the assembly went pretty smoothly.
Once the product is completed, it’s a pretty nice piece of furniture that can give you years of good function and attractiveness. . . I know it will do so for my family. However, I have a good bit of experience in assembling this type of “prefab” furniture, and in finishing raw wood. If you have similar experience, I’m sure you will have a good product when you’re done. If you have NO experience with these processes, I suggest you move on to something a bit less challenging in order to avoid dissapointment.
Final comment: overall a good inexpensive product if you can handle it.

Pretty easy to put together, which is fortunate since the instructions are not any help at all. Things are numbered wrong and the drawings are inadequate. In addition, one of the back pieces was missing when shipped. When put together it is okay, however.
